Sunday School—Children in grades one through five participate in Bible learning activities appropriate for their age groups. Exploring Faith, a program of Christian education designed to help children grow in faith through Bible study, is the curriculum used in the elementary grades. There is a separate Sunday School class for each grade, one through five.
Children’s Worship—All elementary-aged children attend worship in the sanctuary with their families. Children in grades one and two worship with their families for the first part of the worship service and go at the appropriate time to the chapel for Children’s Worship. In Children’s Worship they are taught worship skills and participate in activities related to worship. Third through fifth grade children remain in the sanctuary for worship.

The Way of the Child: Helping Children Experience God focuses on the spiritual formation of children. This resource recognizes that children have an innate spirituality, an acceptance of mystery, an amazing capacity for awe, a vital imagination, and an ability to be open to and receive God’s love. The Way of the Child leads children into a deeper relationship with God, instills in children spiritual practices to form lifelong habits, encourages children to respond to God, and provides an experience vital to community.
Discovery Class—A Discovery Class is offered periodically for older elementary-aged children who are interested in exploring what it means to be a Christian and a member of the church. This class meets for two sessions and is taught by the Minister to Children.
